SUN SHOWERS
by Blanche Blacke March 31, 2002

You are an honorable man
tho you never honored me.
A poetic man
who never wrote me poetry.
A deep and thoughtful man,
who loved to play cruel tricks on me.
And your shallow evaluation
about the situation
I’ll never understand.
Consider nature.
Sun showers.
What about the sun showers?
Oh
how foolish of me
to wait for you to shower your heat
when all you did was rain on me.
