Have you ever asked yourself, "What makes one person successful at something,
and another person, with the same talents, opportunities and taking the same actions with a similar performance level not successful?" It seems a mystery, doesn't it? Like luck or fate or destiny or God's will and that we as individuals don't have a say or can't make a difference.

On the surface, to the untrained eye, both individuals might appear the same or closely similar. In actuality it is possible to determine why one might succeed, while another does not, when we inquire at the energetic level of our chakras. We might search within ourselves for the answers and make changes within our own soul's energy and the power of our minds to make a difference.

First, we can realize that the whole of our being is not a "failure", like some of us carry around the notion that we are "failures" because we did not reach a certain goal we set out for ourselves.

Letting go of past perceived mistakes is paramount before undertaking a new goal. Cleaning our chakras of old energy gives us a clean slate to begin anew.

Second step is to dig deep to make sure our motives are pure. Do we want to do or have what we want, purely because we want it for its own sake and no other?

This is tricky. Most of us have many unconcealed doings of something in order to have something else. We sometimes feel feelings of failure when we go after one thing, expecting another to follow automatically.

Like creating an amazing recording, being successful in that and then expecting it to become #1 automatically, on its own, without realizing we need to add new Passion for marketing it or connecting with someone else whose passion is strong for that.

The third ingredient for success is one that is hidden, often even from our own selves, but we can recognize when someone has it. PASSION! Enthusiastic, burning passion for creating or being or doing something for its own sake. Passion allows for great energy, drive and perseverance. Something only fails because we give up our passion with feelings of defeat too soon. Or focusing our full Passion on creating something and then losing our focus, not putting our full attention and passion on the other gains we want from its creation.

Have you asked yourself recently, "What do I really want to do or have? Where do I want to be? And "What's my next step". Desire for something new or better, connected to Passion for it, for its own sake, and then enthusiastic actions are the ingredients for success. We must focus our intentions and thoughts on all areas, from the idea stage to the physical manifestation stage, to presenting to the world with pride and then focus our intention and thoughts on the receiving money and recognition from others we are seeking.

No matter what the economy is doing, we can find within our own beings what we really want and fuel our passion to move forward. There were more millionaires created during the Great Depression than any time in American History. Why? Because Necessity is the Mother of Invention. The 2nd Chakra energy center, located just below the navel, is our fuel line for creating. It is the center for passion, desire, joyous connections with others and sexuality. A healthy 2nd Chakra vibrates enthusiasm, strong desires for the good for oneself and others, many ideas for new things, excitement for life, turned on by many things, allowing for pleasure and passion about what one is doing and for life itself.

To enhance 2nd Chakra, meditate to a 2nd Chakra candle with the thoughts of asking for new passion, new ideas, new desires to make life more pleasurable. Watch the flame and allow the flame of passion to spark.

Drink 2nd Chakra tea and allow for some quiet moments to grieve the old failures and let go of blame or guilt. Clean the slate for new life!
